Have a Storefront? Win a Dedicated E-mail!

Do you have a great storefront? If you believe you have a great storefront that we should market, submit it for our Storefront design contest.   The two best storefronts will be chosen to win great exposure in our Daily Deal email.  Based on aesthetics and strategic design, the First Place Winner will receive a dedicated Buy.com email (over $18,000 value).    The Second Place winner will be featured in our new Featured Seller Spot available on our daily Deal Emails (over a $2,500 value).

Who can apply? Applicants must be sellers on Buy.com to win.  One entry per seller ID.

 

Eligibility:

  • Storefronts at minimum must have the following in order to be eligible to win:
  • Home page and category pages
  • Enabled product pages
  • Header, footer and navigation
  • Existing Storefronts as of this notice.
  • Storefronts must be submitted and active as of February 15, 2012 by 11:59 pm.
  •  “Basic” storefront designs purchased are not eligible.

Evaluation criteria
Submitted Storefronts will be judged by our Buy.com team based on creativity, aesthetic design, and strategic design.

Build a Storefront to be Eligible for the Buy button

Launch Your Storefront on Buy.com - Feb 15th Deadline 

One-Day and Two-Day ShippingBuild your brand, drive browse traffic and increase your average order size by launching your merchant storefront on Buy.com. Once your storefront is live, a "Visit Store" icon as seen above will appear next to all of your listings on Buy.com. Our Merchants are seeing up to a 6% GMV increase as a result of launching their storefronts. 

Buy.com Merchant storefronts are fully customizable and can be built via our Merchant tools. Product pages within the storefront include your branded navigation and will exclude listings from other Merchants. Your store will even have its own ShopTogether social bar that displays only your products and encourages browsing and chatting. 

Storefronts are such a critical part of our Merchant-centric marketplace model that after February 15th, merchants without storefronts will lose eligibility to win the Buy Button on our unified product pages.

Don’t Miss out on Last Minute Shoppers: Set up One-Day and Two-Day Shipping



The holidays are right around the corner, and customers are looking for fast shipping options to make it by the holiday festivities. Don’t miss out on last minute shoppers! Extend your holiday season by offering One Day and Two Day delivery service on Buy.com using our new shipping engine. 

To setup “Local Shipping” rates, just load the zip codes that make up your "local shipping" region into your account and setup your "local shipping" rates. Now a customer in your "local shipping" region can get the same 2 day service for less, increasing conversion and making for one happy customer.

You can access the Shipping Engine by clicking on the View/Edit your Shipping Settings under the Settings section in Seller Tools. Please note that you must set your Continental US Street settings in the Shipping Engine in order to ship items within the Continental US. If you do not set Continental US Street, your products will not show as being available to ship with the Continental US.

Reach out to even more last minute shoppers by utilizing our new options for Same Day delivery and discounted rates for customers in your local zones. Get Seen on Buy.com with Targeted Keyword Ads

BuyWords is a new paid search ad program available to all sellers and manufacturers on the Buy.com product and search pages.  BuyWords works like many other cost-per-click campaigns. 

Start with BuyWords by signing up and adding an account balance to your campaign.  Next, upload your creative image and text, and then link to your Buy.com products or Buy.com storefront.    Once you create the look and feel of your ad, choose the keywords related to your ad and bid on each word.  If your bid wins, your ad will be placed on the product pages and search pages of Buy.com.

 

Invest your search dollars customers are actively shopping!

 

Ads must link to a Buy.com URL

What is the cost?

To begin with BuyWords, you must set an account balance for your campaign using your credit card. This amount will be held in your account until it is used up by the cost per click of your ad.  The price-per-click of keywords will begin at a minimum bid and will change based on the amount of bids on those keywords.

What are the requirements for advertising on BuyWords?

The only requirements for advertising on BuyWords are that you must be a Buy.com Marketplace Seller or manufacturer partner.  Additionally, all ads must link within the Buy.com website.

Download Your Posted Listings 

Good News! We just released a new feature in your seller account that will allow you to download all of your posted listings, no matter how many you have -- previously we had a limit of 250K listings.

The report will generate a file in our inventory 3.0 format that includes the listing id, buy.com sku qty available and your reference id. Now you can use this file to help you manage your listings. Just in time for the busiest shopping season.

 

In your seller account, under Manage Inventory, just click on the Download your Currently Posted Listings Link. It will take you to a page where you can Request a Listings Export. Just click on the button and we will begin generating the report. Processing times will vary based on the number of listings.

You can check the status of the report by pressing the "Check Status" button. When the report is complete it will create a link to a file named ListingExport.zip just click on the link and save the file to you system. We suggest changing the name and including a date and time, so you will always know which file is the r most up to date.

This will be a valuable tool to help you manage your inventory on the Buy.com Marketplace.

Get your 45 Day Return Badge

Hello from Buy.com Marketplace.

Buy.com has announced that we have extended our return policy to 45 days on items that are shipped from and sold by Buy.com. We feel confident that this move will improve conversion, give us a competitive edge and delight our customers - and we'd like you to be a part of all of that.

We are encouraging all of our Marketplace Sellers to join us by extending their Buy.com return policies to at least 45 days on all items. Each Marketplace Seller that adopts a 45-day return policy will get a special "45 Day Returns" badge next to all of their listings and increased opportunities for favorable positioning.

To change your return policy, please log into your seller account and click on "View/Edit your Seller Site Information and Policies". Please note that the 45 Day Returns badge will display on all of your listings, so the 45 day policy must apply to all products that you carry in order for you to participate in this program at this time.

Once your return policy is set to 45 days, please email sellers@buy.com letting us know that you are all set. To be included in the first wave of "45 Day Return" badges, please make sure you have done this by Friday, August 13. The badges will go up on the site by early September.
